Donald at 82 yrs old,  of St. Petersburg died peacefully Friday (November 26, 2010) at Arbor Oaks Assisted Living under the loving care of family, Hospice & the friends, & staff of Arbor Oaks. He moved back to St. Petersburg from Asheville NC in 2008. 

Born in Frenchville, Maine, Donald was a World War II Vetran. He retired in 1992 from Unisys Corp (formerly Sperry Rand) as an Electronic Test Technician. During his career, he worked on the first Mars probes, Apollo space development, and other government military defense projects. He was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, a member and volunteer of St. Eugene Catholic Church in Ashville, NC. Donald was preceded in death by his beloved wife Cecile of 56 years, a sister, and two brothers. 

Survivors including three sons Paul, Denver, NC; Raymond, St. Petersburg; & Michael, Seminole; three daughters Annette Borders, St. Petersburg; Joan Munger, Hendersonville, NC; Patricia Shelley, Elkin, NC; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. Sisters Priscilla Bernard, & Muriel Masse; Brothers Janel, Claude, & Even
